So I decided to start a blog. Why? Well first let me tell why I didn't start this blog. This is not to put down men, I don't hate them, in fact I am married to one. It's not to put down the children cuz I have 4 of those too! I love marriage and married life and I love being a stay at home mom BUT....everyone has to have a place to rant, rave and complain about their pet peeves!!!
This is my place!
As I was sitting with my friend the other day we started talking about issues that totally Tee me off! (have to watch the language cuz my mommy is reading this too!)
But I also realized how dis-functionally functional we really are. I mean for all those people who are blessed with the "perfect marriage" I think you are all liars and all those people who think that you're glad you're at home (having given up your career, your life and probably going to the bathroom) to see the smile on your child's face when he sees you in the morning ...well I think you are all just kidding yourselves. I mean, dont get me wrong, I love my husband and kids and would do almost anything for them but man there are the days that I want them to tell them to Shut- up and to kick my hubby in the seat of his pants! Oh well like I said...dis-functionally functional.
As a young girl, I used to write my angry thoughts down on paper, read them and then tear them up -very therapeutic! as an adult, I would rather share them with the world. There may be some exaggerations, and some times where even you would wish that I'd shut up but like I said to my hubby--YOU CAN"T MAKE ME!!!!
Lets see where this leads and IF it makes me feel better knowing that I am sharing my pet peeves with the rest of the world...who knows...It might lighten your day too!!!
Oh well....happy reading!

Cute! I think many women feel that way so it is good to see it written down. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHi, I just revisted this article and it made me laugh all over again!
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see an article or blog by husbands and see what they are thinking.
I try to be fair! After all, they are our other half!
Oh bye the way, the honoury grandmother of your children is also reading this so I am doubly glad that you are watching your language. As my old Father used to say, "If you cannot speak the King's English properly, don't speak at all". He hated the misuse of words and also any type of foul language.
On that note, shall sign off and thank you for these very entertaining words.
